About Me
Hi!
I'm Maleah.
I'm a Studio Art and Art Education Major at Bethany Lutheran College.

One of the parts I enjoy about working on art are the layers of meaning each piece can take on. I see my art as a reflection and contemplation about experiences in my life, and expressions of my faith.

I also enjoy making art based on natural things, particularly when painting outdoors. I see those paintings as the closest mirror I can get to God's handiwork, which is the true masterpiece that I am working from. I also use natural subjects as a means to reach deeper meaning without human involvement getting in the way, even if the message is deeply tied to humanity.

Overall, my job as an artist is to reflect, and then share those reflections with others. I happen to reflect mostly upon God's creation and God's work.
